Create original works of fabric art and craft by printing directly on to inkjet fabric sheets or printable fabric you create at home. You can print artwork or photos directly onto fabric, and then turn that into everything from dolls to quilts to photo frames. Below are just a few ideas.
You can invent your own textile designs by scanning items you have around the house and yard such as leaves, flowers, jewelry, coins, cards, decorations. Once you know how to scan three-dimensional objects, you can let your creativity run wild.
No more writing your child’s name on a brown paper bag. Now you can make a personalized lunch sack complete with his or her favorite images. Simply scan cards or pictures, then print on inkjet fabric sheets and stitch onto a store-bought cloth sack or one you sew yourself.
Print an 8.5" x 11" fabric square with designs that you download or create by placing leaves or blossoms on your scanner. Fold fabric piece in half with patterned sides together, and stitch sides closed, leaving 2 inches open. Turn right side out. Fill with dried lavender or potpourri. Hand stitch closed, and store in a closet or dresser drawer.
Print an 8.5" x 11" piece of fabric with scanned or downloaded designs. Fold in half lengthwise with design facing inward. Stitch closed, leaving 2 inches open. Turn right side out. Fill with a mixture of dried lavender and flax seeds. Stitch closed.
Purchase a picture frame and a piece of fiberboard cut to fit. Print designs onto fabric and use it to cover the fiberboard, leaving an extra 2 inches on each side. Fold the extra cloth over the board’s edge and affix with staple gun. Place in frame and secure. Use to hang photos and notes.

Scan seasonal flowers or fall leaves and create a table runner.
Print your much-loved family photos on fabric and create a photo pillow or a genealogy wall hanging that can be passed on from generation to generation.
Print an easy one-sheet project, like a quilted potholder that you can put together in a flash. Use images, photos, or a family recipe. Makes a great gift for the chef in your family.
Create fabric ornaments without sewing a stitch. Simply print out holiday photos or artwork onto your fabric, pin them onto Styrofoam balls, and decorate with ribbons, beads, or sequins. It’s a great project for kids old enough to work with pins.
Print pictures of parents with their newborn onto fabric to create a keepsake pillow for the nursery. Embellish it by adding the birth announcement on the other side.
Make fabric swags to celebrate each season. Print out multiple fabric sheets with winter, spring, summer, and fall themes, and string them together with decorative ribbon to display on your mantel or doorway. Get creative and use your own photos.
